The location is pretty— great views in the quiet country side. My friend and I weny on an early morning stroll— we actually missed the pretty topiary gardens but we did enjoy the hammocks and the animal area. The rooms are a little outdated. Our balcony door was stuck, and when we finally opened it, a few bugs flew into the room. I really enjoyed the Olympics memorabillia scattered all around! It was fun to read up on things. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

5 stars? How exactly though?! Front desk: Pretty hectic check-in experience. We had little issues with the room but couldn’t reach anyone via phone. Pool: Do not be deceived by the pictures on the website. The pool is absolutely disgusting. First of all, I don’t even want to know about the water quality. The colour says it all. Also, my sensitive skin reacted straight away after a few minutes in the water. There is also mold and the state of the whole facility is questionable (lamps, walls, etc). The containers for shampoo and bodywash in the shower area are empty but at least there are soap bars….. (but not for hair). The website only shows the cost for sauna but not for the swimming pool even though it’s not included in the stay. It also doesn’t say on the information sheet you get when checking in. Apparently, you can buy some sort of a package deal online but that information is hard to get and find. It’s not expensive but every Penny is too much asked for given its miserable state. Room: The bed is small. If you are sharing it with a partner and toddler- have fun. The fridge is pretty big with almost nothing in it (3 small bottles of water were provided upon arrival). You can order minibar items/ room service via mobile phone but all beverages except alcohol are marked as sold out?! We witnessed a few families who changed rooms and heard of very smelly rooms (elevator talk). Staff: Not as professional as you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. Positive: - the French garden and the animal farm - the breakfast was better than expected - food at Café Fleuri was ok We tried a Kensington hotel for the second time and are surely not coming back.

Room too cramped. Who puts a 6 inch step 3 ft inside the door? Stupidity. Bathroom too cramped. Toilet right next to the wall, much too close for comfort. Air conditioning not reducing the temperature of the room. This place in July 2025 should be avoided.
