Khong Chiam Orchid Riverside Resort

Beautiful place to stay with fantastic views of the Mekong. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the food excellent. We will definitely return.

Atmosphere is everything at this small and secluded tropical resort. Rooms appear old but are spacious and charming. Hot water, air con, and TV are a bit spotty but service to investigate was quick and friendly. Food is delicious and well priced and menu has a nice selection of Thai and Western cuisine. The homemade German sausage platter was exceptional. Dining is indoor or outdoor on a lovely airy patio or riverside. Breakfast is a great way to start the day and has good portions. Service is exceptional. Resort appears to be family owned and operated and staff is friendly and fastidious. You truly feel like a "guest." Location is unmatched. Riverside rooms and dining in a truly relaxed environment. Highly recommended for couples and seniors. Not too much available for kids except for a clean and refreshing pool.

This is a gem if a resort. The location is very private and overlooks the Mekong river. The rooms are fresh, very clean with a most comfortable bed. The breakfast was first class, plenty of choices, well presented and tasty. We were a tad tired from driving all day and decided to try their restaurant for a meal. We were surprised at the choice and the quality of our meals. Whether it was the cordon blue or the pork rib-eye, each meal was first class. After booking for one night, we decided a second night was needed to appreciate what this great resort had to offer. We will stay here again in the future and the owner has a winning resort.
