Khum Damnoen Resort

Khum Damnoen Resort is a really nice hotel with very kind staff. They have beautiful rooms with spacious bathrooms and a free mini bar. Breakfast is good and you shouldn't miss dinner at the hotel's restaurant. An amazing atmosphere with local musicians and authentic Thai food ensure that you will have an outstanding dinner experience. The pool is great and really good if you want to chill and relax. Besides they have several electric cars and bikes which you (adults and kids!!) can use for free on a designated area on the hotel's property. You can make a reservation at the hotel for a longtail boat (600 Baht per boat, max. 6 people) for 1.5 hours and visit the popular Damnoen Daduak Floating Market. So if you are ever in this area we can highly recommend to stay at this hotel for a couple of days.

Khum Damnoen Resort, Damnoen Saduak, Ratchaburi I stayed here recently and honestly loved it! The resort feels fresh, stylish, super clean, and the staff are so friendly. The vibe starts right at the lobby—check-in was quick, and the lounge was cozy with big sofas and glass windows looking out over the resort. The air-con was nice and cool, and they welcomed us with fresh coconut juice, Thai sweets, coffee, and more. Such a lovely touch! Cars are parked outside, but no worries—they have a golf cart to take you to the villa. I stayed in the lakeside zone (totally Maldives-style) and it was amazing. The villa itself was brand new, with a private outdoor tub and beautiful pinewood interiors. It had everything I needed, the lighting was warm, and the water pressure was strong. The pool was a highlight—70 meters long, lined with pool villas on both sides. If you love being right by the water or traveling with kids, this is perfect. There are fun activities too, like electric tricycles and scooters to ride around. They even have a canoeing zone, but I didn’t get a chance to try it. Breakfast? Honestly one of the best I’ve had at a resort. They had all the usuals, plus crab fried rice and crab curry with wild betel leaves—who serves that for breakfast?! 😁 Overall, I’d totally recommend Khum Damnoen Resort if you’re looking for a stylish, comfy, and fun getaway in Ratchaburi.

The good: fantastic service and excellent and amazingly inexpensive food. Easy boat access (arranged by the hotel) to the Damnoen Saduak floating market The bad: Windowless rooms (!), no international channels on TV, depressing music being played nonstop in restaurants and reception area. No umbrellas/parasols in the common pool area, nor possible to order refreshments there. We stayed for 2 nights, one would have been more than enough to experience the floating market.
