Kierland Retreat

The place is fantastic and a great place for meetings. My only complaint is the small shower that we had in our room and the rain shower shower head. Not a lot to do in the area but what they have is worth checking out. I'd suggest the botanical garden and the aquarium.... But there's several other things to do. They do have their own golf course but I don't golf but many people do. Came during July and it was pretty hot but fortunately had a cool week where it was only 105 to 110. I wouldn't recommend a cabana at the pool unless with a larger party and you want to talk. You can reserve chairs but really I believe what you're reserving is a plastic frame chair with a pillow.... The others are metal frame, not as comfortable. I was off season and it may be different during on season. They have a shuttle service to several restaurants via golf cart and if you need to go downtown, they will shuttle you by van wherever you need to go.... You just call for pickup and they are pretty prompt. Overall the service was very good. Always remember to be kind and take care of the people who take care of you. I was somewhat worried about having horrible time during some of the hottest part of the year here, but it turned out to be wonderful. Between the lazy river and the two pools and what was available, a 5-day trip was fantastic.

Stayed in a 1BR middle unit on top floor building 6 for 4 nights with my 12 yo daughter for a girls long weekend. The unit is perfect for a couple. Very clean. Well laid out. Kitchenette is perfect for breakfast and lunch. Fridge has an ice maker. Kitchen has a can opener, measuring spoons, bottle opener, masher, coffee maker with coffee, sharp knives, toaster, blender, kettle, setting for 4. They provided dish soap, a towel, paper towels, 2 d/w tablets and 3 packs of Tide for laundry. Checked in on Fri and got service on Sunday only. I can’t believe how relaxing and quiet this place is. We are totally away from the loud pool etc. Quiet balcony for 4 to watch the sunset. If you want peace and quiet stay in building 6. We went to the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa front desk to get a key for the main gym and pool after hours. The relaxation pool at the villas is just that … relaxing. No annoying music or kids. They bring carafes of ice water around every 30 minutes. The bellman will drive you in the 6 person golf cart to the grocery store, main hotel, and the Kierland Commons. Don’t be cheap. Tip Tripp and Robert and they will be there in minutes. It was so much more convenient and cost effective than an uber. This was the perfect stay. I know other people mentioned a sales pitch. We didn’t have one and there was no pressure to have one.

This is the time ownership portion of the Westin overall property in Kierland, Scottsdale. The room we booked was a one bedroom suite or villa on the 4th floor. It has a full kitchen with a washer and dryer. Definitely great for a longer stay with family. The amenities are limited as it shares a golf course with the resort. But one can use the facilities at the resort such as fitness, spa, and pool. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.
