The room was very beautiful and the treats in the room gave it a warmer and more welcoming feel. Breakfast was delicious and the staff in general is very friendly and helpful 10/10. Dinner wasn't really what I expected (5 course meal with wine pairing) I enjoyed the bread experience thou, so dinner I would rate 6/10. Can non-alcohol consumers be accommodated.
We had an exceptional Easter weekend stay. The service and food was beyond amazing, we absolutely cannot fault anything. Staff were all so incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming! They went the extra mile for all the children with all the special touches, movie night and popcorn for them, Easter eggs by the dozen, and even when we checked in and our 2 year old was fussing the staff were so understanding and helpful towards us. The only feedback we have is that the rooms could use a bit of an upgrade as the one we were in was looking a bit dated furniture wise, but still very clean at least. Give the rooms a revamp and this would be a first choice wedding venue for us in the future
I would like to share my recent experience at your establishment, which unfortunately did not meet expectations. Spa Facilities Upon arrival, we discovered that the sauna and steam room were undergoing maintenance. This had not been communicated beforehand, which was disappointing given the nature of our visit. When we inquired, a staff member informed us that the men's facilities were available and that they were not gender-specific. I am not comfortable sharing spa facilities with male guests, and this should have been clearly communicated and appropriately managed. Poolside Restaurant The service at the poolside restaurant was unacceptable. Despite being the only guests present, the television was loudly playing a soccer channel, which disrupted the relaxing atmosphere following our spa treatment. We had to ask twice for the volume to be lowered, which was frustrating and inconsiderate. We ordered a mimosa and a glass of champagne. When we asked about the available champagne options, the waitress informed us that the only option was Kievietskroon Cap Classique, priced at R230 per glass. At that point, we had not yet received the menu. Once we did, we noticed several better and more reasonably priced options were available. This lack of transparency felt misleading and diminished the overall experience. We requested to speak with a manager, hoping to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, the manager was hostile and unfriendly, which further escalated our dissatisfaction rather than addressing it. Security Experience Lastly, the security guard at the entrance was unwelcoming and unnecessarily confrontational. After I reversed to allow oncoming traffic to pass, she asked if I was “in a hurry,” which felt inappropriate and disrespectful. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and used to improve communication, service standards, and the overall guest experience.
