A truly serene and welcoming destination. The surroundings are beautiful, and the service is nothing short of excellent. The warm hospitality from the staff added a personal touch to the entire experience. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.
Kihaa Island in Baa Atoll is truly idyllic: powdery white sand, beautiful water bungalows, spacious beachfront villas, and sunshine wrapping the entire island. Our room was lovely and comfortable, though at night we could hear geckos scurrying on the wooden floor as the bungalow wasn't completely sealed from the outdoors. The overall atmosphere was wonderful, and the service we received was consistently good and met our expectations. The restaurant, however, could use some improvement. While the food was generally tasty, the menu felt quite limited in choice. A standout was the Valentine's Day buffet – the cold room setup for salads and desserts was amazing! Having that level of variety and presentation daily would be a huge plus. The bar faced some challenges during our stay, running low on certain alcohols due to delivery delays. While understandable given the island location, guests on an all-inclusive package might find the restricted choice ("whatever they had") a bit disappointing. The **real highlight** of Kihaa was the incredible marine life. The nightly fish feeding attracted stunning sharks and stingrays – absolutely mesmerizing! A huge thank you to the **diving club** – they went above and beyond to make our underwater experiences and overall visit truly memorable. **In Summary:** Kihaa offers a beautiful Maldivian setting and generally good service. With a more varied restaurant menu and reliable bar stock, it would be near perfect. The fantastic marine encounters and exceptional diving team make it a very special place despite the minor drawbacks.
I had seriously considered booking this resort for my upcoming trip to the Maldives, but after my experience with their customer service, I’ve decided to look elsewhere. I emailed them two weeks ago with a simple enquiry about domestic transfer arrangements and whether their airport team would be able to assist. I even sent a follow-up email in between but received no reply at all. For a resort that markets itself as a premium destination, this level of service (or lack thereof) is unacceptable. If they can’t even respond to basic enquiries before a booking is made, I can’t imagine the service standard once guests are actually on-site. Resorts in the Maldives aren’t exactly cheap and people expect a minimum level of responsiveness and professionalism when making travel plans. This was a disappointing experience that completely changed my impression of the resort. Would not recommend based on this alone.
