Can really recommend this accommodation to everyone that is traveling with cars. Many parking lots in the backyard of the hotel and you can also park the day when you check out. Bus station direct in front of the hotel so that you can take the bus, approximately 20 minutes and you are already in the city center, we also enjoy the bus drive to the city very much. The whole street looks so beautiful where the hotel is located as houses are built around 100 years ago with majestic Victorian architecture style. Be sure to visit the public room in the hotel, and you will be amazed how tasteful the old owner used to be. We really liked the details and the history.
We booked this hotel because it was available for a family during our stay in Edinburgh. We usually stay at a big chain hotel, but needed the space, so I turned to Booking.com to find a place. This hotel was just lovely. A centuries old building with modern touches but not in a way that detracts from the quaint and cozy feel an older building provides. The family room was exceptionally beautiful. It was in a separate building that housed a few more rooms. It had a beautiful conservatory. The beds were very comfortable. The room was especially clean. Imane, the receptionist, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and provided ample towels and bedding. She also gave wonderful recommendations on where to eat and how to get the bus from our hotel. The bus stop to the city center was just across the street The full Scottish breakfast was very good. Overall it was a great value and we can’t wait for the opportunity to stay again.
What a lovely place! We were certainly attracted by the look and have not been disappointed. The last century look and feel gives you the peace you need when you visit vibrant Edinburgh. And the landlords were just so friendly! I can truly recommend this place for everyone who is looking for something outside the normal. The elderly rooms are well renovated, nothing to complain. And the bus station is right in front of the building. It takes you approx. 15 minutes to Edinburgh centre. What else can you be asking for?
