Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel

I had a great stay at this hotel and was really impressed with the overall experience. The room was absolutely huge, very well kept, and spotlessly clean – as was the rest of the hotel. The food was excellent, with good variety and quality, and the staff were really friendly, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. It’s a lovely, well-run hotel that offers comfort, space, and great service. I’d definitely stay again and would happily recommend it.

Great location. Room was clean. Beds not terribly comfortable. When he sat on the bench in the room, my husband got pricked by a rusty gross nail that was sticking straight out of the bench. We informed the front desk of this and they seemed nonplussed. Not sure if they ever followed up to fix it to ensure other people weren't hurt. Bathrooms are dated but comfortable. For the price we paid to stay here, we expected more friendly service from the people behind the desk at the aquatics centre. They mostly seemed to view us as an inconvenience. The kids liked the pool. Breakfast was expensive and not worth it for what you get. Better off getting breakfast in a lovely café in Kilkenny for the same price and likely better food and atmosphere.

Excellent location, beautiful property! Our room was large, and well appointed. Wish we had a place like this when we traveled with the kids. A huge and comfortable king size bed and a bunk room. Wow! Easy walk to shops, restaurants and historic sites. Would definitely stay here again!!
