What a great experience in a friendly hotel for a yoga retreat. The rooms were clean with daily water supplied in the room. Great food,excellent service from all the staff and there was even a comedian on staff to give us a laugh. Accommodating with vegan meal choices.great view from my room of the garden area. The view was spectacular from where we did yoga upstairs. The spa had excellent service also. Walking trails are close by which was good.Bike trails

I don't know how this hotel is a four star. I woke up this morning unable to breathe properly because I forgot my medication. The receptionist and the cleaners were banging down my door and ringing me constantly. When I was able to answer the phone the lady was very rude, dismissave and disrespectful. She didn't give me a chance to explain. She told me she is charging me €20 per hour. I left at 1:45pm , at reception I told her she was very rude and she said she is now charged me €60 extra. I don't even know if this is legal, I am going to my solicitor first thing Tuesday to find out. Very unhappy and will never stay there again. The guy at the reception when I arrived was very friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant staff were excellent. The beef dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy was excellent. The beer garden/smoking area is really good.

Booked for my birthday with a spa package, only to be told the morning of our stay that the spa was closed, the main reason we were travelling for over 2 hours. We arrived anyway and were offered a spa voucher, dinner, and breakfast as an apology. Dinner was poor: cocktails were bizarrely spicy and made wrong, steak was tough, and overall food didn’t match a 4-star standard. The next morning, we discovered the spa was actually open and fully booked, clearly a serious lack of communication. We paid for the spa ourselves and decided to save the voucher, but at checkout, the manager demanded it back and was incredibly rude when we explained. Unprofessional service, poor food, and badly managed. Wouldn’t return and definitely not worth the price or 4-star rating.
