Kimpton BEM Budapest by IHG

Exceptional design and service. An order of magnitude better than Anantara or the 5 star Radisson we stayed in in Prague. Rooms are stunning and the hotel is new. For the first time in Europe they had proper AC as well. We especially want to commend Eniko who treated us like VIPs and now we'll be searching out the Kimpton brand in other countries in the hopes of having a similar experience. We also enjoyed meeting with Tibor and discussing current events and history about the city. All interactions with staff were positive. The location is safe and quiet and close to attractions although Budapest is a spread out city so no matter where you stay you will be walking or commuting to see everything. The Anantara hotel we stayed at prior was in a dirty, major thoroughfare area and wasn't comparable in our opinion especially in terms of service.

The hotel is amazing, the staff are awesome, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left they were so attentive and friendly. When we arrived we got a free very nice glass of champagne and even one when we left. The hotel is beautifully decorated. The roof bar gives a lovely atmosphere to have a drink in. The breakfast is freshly cooked, not the largest menu but everything in it was delicious. If you are hoping for a quiet stay in Budapest in a beautiful hotel you can't go wrong, nice area just down from the castle district. My only point is it's on the quiet side of the river if you want a little bit of night life you will have to travel into pest. But I would still stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat.

What an incredible stay! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The location is great and quiet! Parking was very secure and had electric charging for our car. The rooms were modern and spacious, and the restaurant was really nice, a Mediterranean-Hungarian fusion. Moreover, our dog was treated like absolute royalty, even getting his own bathrobe!
