Stayed one night before a cruise. During check in, the front desk rep was nice. She even gave my kid a hot wheels car and cotton candy. The room was comfortable and clean. The photo of the bed is after my child has jumped in it. I didn’t get a full appreciation of the property because I only spent a night. However, the area is surrounded by other hotels, restaurants and there’s a Whole Foods a block over. We were able to book a shuttle to the cruise port at an extra cost, but it took forever for the driver to get there even though we scheduled a time. All in all, I would recommend this hotel.
The property is very nice. Room was spacious and clean. Great downtown location. The issue? there was a pool party with loud music from 1:00 pm until 11:00 pm, TEN HOURS! The pool is on the 16th floor and our room was on the 21st. The room was literally vibrating from the DJ bass from when we checked in at 3:00 until 11. Also, we chose this hotel for the pool and it was closed for the party. When we checked in, we should have been informed given the option of not being on the side of the hotel with the loud party.
From what I noticed at this hotel It caters to Spanish people and they treat everyone else differently. They are very unfriendly at this hotel and there English is poor. I prepaid my room before I got there. On arrival the checking customer service representative charged me again for the room without checking my reservation. Thank god for fraud alert that my bank immediately sent me a message of another payment on the room. When I informed the representative she was like lost and then said to me or it will go back to your account in a couple minutes. I called my bank and guess what no refund was made and I paid a full $479 again on the same room. I went back down to confirm this with them and they were like they are sorry it's a mistake. They don't know if I had extra money and what I needed my money for. Whoever comes to this hotel please double check your account because they will double charge you and they don't care.
