The location is great for people wanting to explore all the DC Museums. However, the staff is outstanding. The front desk staff who assisted me during my stay went above and beyond the moment we walked through the doors. If they weren't helping me replace the multiple things I forgot to pack, they assisted with finding restaurants and helping me sort out my stay. I really appreciate their hard work, warm demeanor and willingness to help! I wish I got their names, however they were there during 06/22/25 - 06/24/25. Thank you so much!

A great stay just a block away from Union Station! The room was immaculate when we got there, and the front desk staff was very nice! They have luggage storage available for if you get to the hotel before check in and want to go do some things around DC (you can also use it at check out)

We were traveling from Florida to New Jersey and decided to stop in Washington, D.C. for some sightseeing. We booked The Kimpton George Hotel expecting a comfortable stay in a nice, well-reviewed hotel;unfortunately, it fell short. First off, parking was a shock, the parking was an additional $60 per night, on top of the $221 room charge. That alone felt excessive. When we arrived at our room, it was completely pitch black. The main light switch didn’t work, and we were told by reception that we’d need to walk into the dark room, find the lamps manually, and turn them on ourselves. This felt really inconvenient and unsafe. The room itself was disappointing; the bed was stiff and uncomfortable, the AC was loud, and the overall noise level from the surrounding area was high. The carpets were wrinkled and gave the room a worn-out feel. For $221 a night, we expected a lot more. Honestly, we probably would have had a better night’s sleep at a basic roadside motel. The only positives: the location was great for sightseeing, and the staff we encountered were pleasant. Would not recommend this hotel based on our experience
