Excellent hotel! Good downtown location, creative decor, comfortable rooms with good lighting, small but well appointed bathroom, friendly staff. We weren’t told about the free coffee in the morning and the happy hour in the upstairs lobby, glad I discovered it on my own. Also nice to have a good restaurant at the hotel, we enjoyed breakfast.

I stayed at the Hotel Monaco Philadelphia when I participated in the Ben to the Shore charity bike ride, it was very convenient because it is located a short distance from the start line. Initially I was concerned about bringing my bike into the hotels, however the Hotel Monaco is bicycle friendly and had no problems with bring my bike to my room. The front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely excited to help me with preparing for my ride, even storing a bag for me overnight so I could pick it up the day after the ride. It's those thoughtful touches that truly set this place apart. The room was stunning—modern, vibrant, and impeccably clean, with an incredible view of Independence Hall. The location is unbeatable if you want to be close to historic attractions and great restaurants. Don’t miss the rooftop bar, Stratus—it’s got a great vibe and gorgeous views of the city.

We stayed and got ready at Hotel Monaco for our wedding weekend. There were a few aspects of the stay that could have been improved given the nature of the event. First, I wanted to say that the customer service team was very friendly and tried to be attentive to the needs that were brought to their attention. While they could not fix some of the issues that were brought to their attention they were always friendly. Getting Ready: The 1 bedroom corner suite was the bridal suite and the room we got ready in the day of the wedding. We requested in our contract with the hotel two stools and power cord extension. I made note of this request in the paperwork I completed prior to check in and again the day I checked in (Thursday before the Friday wedding). The morning of the wedding (around 7:35am) I called down to the front desk to remind them to deliver the stool(s) and we needed to make a second call around 11am. At 12pm we had a worker bring an extra desk chair to the room. This was unacceptable as it was written in multiple places, and the front desk was reminded of this at a few different points of contact. The most notable part of this is that we THE GUESTS had to problem solve this on our own since the hotel was unable to provide time efficient solutions. The State of the room: The hotel needs some TLC and room repairs. The suite that we were getting ready in had spills on the curtains, stains and rips in the carpet and damage on the couch and furniture. All which were visible in pictures unless we positioned people and things a certain way. Creating more work for our photographer who we hired to have some getting ready pictures and dressing pictures in the room. The view helped to make up for this by providing a naturally beautiful backdrop. While the suite was clean it was clearly not up to the standards we were expecting for the cost and based on what the reviews boasted. I know there were other weddings that weekend and hate to wonder if we were put in a suite that was less than because the other weddings took priority. None of the issues were fixable in one night, this is a review to have others be aware of the issues that one wedding party faced to hopefully not have another party face them again. I also will say that the hotel did compensate us by removing $100 from our total bill for the suite. However, it was up to me as the guest to simply not be bothered by the little things that truly did not make the experience as magical as I was hoping. Money is one thing but the care and regard that could have been shown to have the day of the wedding to have that run more seamless would have gone a long way after the conversations we had on Thursday about the state of the room. The room we stayed in was corner suite 816. Not picture the stain on the curtains or the wear on the hallway carpets.
