Kimpton Riverplace Hotel by IHG

At first one would think this place has 5 stars because of the view and location but it is really the staff that made our stay here superb. Everyone working at the hotel was very eager to help us and went above and beyond with any request or need we had. The restaurant is also delicious and the rooms are well decorated and kept. The location al though not specifically in the downtown area was amazing since you got to enjoy being by the water and next to a park away from the madness but close enough for a nice walk or quick drive to the city center. The hotel was also very pet friendly! Loved taking my pup out for a walk in the park or to relive himself in a field full of grass steps from the hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and just did again last night. Great front desk staff (staff overall) and SUPER dog friendly. I often like to also stay at The Ritz in Portland - they say they accept dogs, but not over 35 lbs - which mine is. Great location, nice clean rooms.

Really nice experience. Came here on a quick trip to Portland. Decided to stay here because of BringFido.com. No Pet Fee, up to two dogs I think, which is nice. It was a really lovely surprise upon check in. We got a nice room upgrade and when I got into the room there was cheesecake, a bottle of wine and a happy birthday card. I have never had such an experience at a hotel before. Anytime we come to Portland we will always stay at Kimpton, no reason not to. The location is great and the hospitality is top notch.
