Kimpton Sawyer Hotel by IHG

It’s a fabulous hotel! From the moment we arrived, I felt like a VIP! Everyone is so eager to help, I ask for an extra blanket, the housekeeper made sure I got my blanket immediately, it’s still daylight. The price is reasonable considering it’s at least a 4 or 5 star hotel. It’s very beautiful. This is the second time we’ve stayed here in one week.

Beautiful lobby, but that’s where the good ends. They advertise free decaf coffee, but it actually had caffeine—terrible for anyone sensitive to it. My room had two queen beds, both with huge, visible sags in the middle that made sleeping very uncomfortable. The bathroom fan didn’t work, the safe had to be reset, and the lighting was so dim it was almost useless. Only two chairs, no real table, and for a so-called 4-star hotel at this price, the quality was disappointing. Valet parking was a rip-off. Four days cost me more than $300 because of hidden fees—almost $80per day. No dedicated guest parking, no discounts, just overpriced valet. This hotel spends more on looking impressive than actually taking care of guests. If you want comfort, value, and honesty, look elsewhere.

not a great experience. booked a night through capital one travel and this hotel was listed as premier collection so expected more. Hotel looks nice from far away but on closeup you start seeing the level this hotel is at and it’s not 4 star. it’s barely a 3 star, service wasn’t that great, short staffed and not happy. i booked a suite 1 king and the first room we got i called them to come fix the shower because it wasn’t draining and nasty stuff started coming out of the drain. after switching the room to another suite, the room was dirty, furniture dinged, scratched and stains everywhere. the bed sheets and blanket had stains, dirty, and hair. complained for the second time and just decided to leave as couldn’t put up with this level of incompetence. the staff tried here and there but they were slow and not sure what to do. i got stuck in valet in my car because there was a big truck unloading and the valet guys said they’re understaffed and couldn’t move the other cars blocking the way. overall, bad experience and won’t be staying here again. hope this helps!
