Kimpton Schofield Hotel by IHG

We live in Cleveland and love staying at the kimpton with our dogs! The staff is so friendly and accommodating! The lobby is full of activities for all, games, books, toys, and happy hour! I have to say, Veronica in the Betts, was one of the best servers we have had in a long time. She was attentive and patient as we had our dogs and talked with others on the patio and provided fantastic service!!!

We stayed in a corner suite, which is spacious and has great views. The staff was kind and very helpful. Unfortunately there are some big reasons why I wouldn't stay here again. First of all, if you aren't from the area, you should know that there are people racing their motorcycles around downtown, blasting music, and revving their engines all night long. This is not normal big city noise. It's very hard to ignore and I would reconsider ANY room at a downtown hotel with a street view. Secondly, the room was wonderful but not kept up well... The shower had grungy corners around the tub and we had black specks on our feet after showering. To sum it up - the room was a bargain but you get what you pay for.

The location of this hotel is great. Stadium and arena are within walking distance and so are several restaurants. The front desk staff and valet were all nice. The hotel was beautiful and the room was spacious. One of the main issues we had was the noise level from outside. You can hear all the cars and people walking by and we were on the 4th floor. Luckily, ear plugs are provided. I also had some issues with the cleanliness in the bathroom. Some of the towels in the bathroom had holes in them. The shower curtain looked like it hadn't been changed in awhile because mold was starting to form at the bottom and the shower head would spray water out onto the floor when it was turned on. We were also given new sheets with stains on them. We had breakfast at the restaurant downstairs and it was delicious.
