What a fantastic pub. The food was excellent I had lamb chops and struggled to eat it all. The service was great and the prices weren’t too bad either. We will definitely come back again. We stayed in the field behind the pub, only £6 a night and the toilets although were 50p so make sure you take some cash were absolutely sparkling plus they had showers too.
Arrived not having booked in advance and we were lucky to get a room. The room facilities were wonderful, tea and coffees and some welcoming biscuits. The bathroom facilities were second to none and the shower was hot and powerful. We had breakfast the following morning and it was delicious. We would most definitely stay there again and locationwise, its simply breathtaking with the castle, old post office (directly opposite) and coastal walks. Another trip there, I can only hope for!!!
Good food, awesome room, adjustable beds. Great overall, but the lock was strange, don't trust children near it. Shower has a knob, with 10 temperature settings, but really your only 2 options are scalding and freezing from what I could tell. It kept telling me low water pressure. But other than the shower, great room. And the pub has good service.
