King David Hotel

Very nice location, in the heart of the city. But the building is very old, rooms have old furniture. Supportive staff, they provided extra bed without extra charge. The staircase is a bit unusual, so you might have to carry your luggage a bit. One thing to be mindful of during breakfast is that they serve pork, but this is quite common in most hotels. Overall, it was a pleasant experience

Family room Good things : Breakfast is delicious. Location is great in the city center everything is near. near Super market Lake view and balcony is the best thing. Washing machine. Bad things: The furniture is very old. Carpet is dirty, spots everywhere.

The best thing about this hotel is the location in Kutaisi! The standard rooms are big but the bathrooms have sewage smell that just wont go away with cleaning and I guess they are aware of it as well coz they leave air freshners in there for your use. The bidets are leaking and even after they said they fixed it it was still leaking. The nice thing is they gave us a bigger room to compensate for the leaking bidet...unfortunately the bidet was still leaking though not as bad as the previous one so we just managed. They have a split AC for cooling and heating but when opened, it's soo noisy and if you keep the AC on until the morning it will wake you up as it makes loud strange noises. I guess the rooms have central heating because it is warm in the room even with the heater off and the floor in the bathroom are not cold even when you are barefoot.I like that the door of the bathroom has a design that lets the night light out which stays open entire evening. The rooms have wall to wall carpet that seems in need of a deep cleaning. They have room service which we liked and the wait staff are polite and friendly and responds fast. The cleaning ladies are also kind and nice! I can understand that this hotel may have been one of the best and prestigious hotels in early years of Kutaisi...but in 2023 it is badly in need of a renovation for it to get back its former glory...I would assume you can find other hotels in the area with better rooms. My 3 stars are for 1-location, 2-service of the staff and 3- the view...but will still not recommend this hotel.
