Kingfisher Bay Resort

We have spent three nights in our resort room and feel so rejuvenated. The night walk was brilliant, so happy to see a bandicoot, a flying possum, a trapdoor spider, glimpses of scorpions and Barbara the eel. We watched dingoes, such wonderful animals and the fantastic staff were great role models on demonstrating how to show respect and share the area. We had a balcony overlooking a pond, garden and sea. Staff were very positive and service was brilliant. I didn't want to leave 😔

After an incredible day exploring Fraser, we ran into several issues and ended up missing the boat back to the mainland. Unsure what we were going to do, stressed and tired we headed for reception to see if we could get a last minute booking for our family of four. The ladies at reception were amazing! Not only did they sort a room for us they also changed our booking for the boat to the next morning one less thing for us to worry about. It was a huge relief to be able to get help last minute we we're extremely grateful. We had dinner in one of the restaurants which was delicious. Having gluten free options was even better. Our room was clean and spacious. Overall we had a wonderful experience at the resort. Hopefully one day we will return and can enjoy everything they have to offer.

Great location fully immersed with the natural environment. Facilities and activities were okay given the low season. Reception staff was helpful with us when presenting an issue with our room, and promptly moved to a different one to accommodate our requests. Restaurants were okay, with not much offer which lead to some disappointing for those who have planned longer stays. Very young staff working at the restaurant also lead to poor service quality most of the time, which is still disappointing considering the expectations - they could definitely use some guidance and supervision from more experienced professionals. Overall, good spot for nature lovers and for those who plan shorter stays.
