Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff and great amenities. The condo was huge and gave us plenty of space to move around. AC was powerful which I appreciated in 90 degree weather. We loved the lazy river and river pool. Very kid friendly!

Just stayed here with a group of college buddies for our annual golf trip (we’re in our mid-30’s now). We had a great experience with the resort and golf courses! We stayed in one of the condos overlooking the James. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had plenty of amenities (washer/dryer, dish washer, kitchen, etc). We hung out and ate at the marina at night, which was great. The staff at the resort and golf courses were all professional and nice. The courses were in good shape, and the River course especially had some great views. Are the courses Pinehurst or Cabot? No. but they’re well maintained, really fun, and reasonably priced. We would happily come back here. Also, we all sort of agreed this would be a great place to bring a young family to vacation where Dad can mix in a round or two of golf.

We had a great trip here. We stayed at the cottages on the river and they were great. The pool area was good and the gym was maybe the best I’ve ever seen for a resort. The bad: The food is really not good here. The Marina restaurant is awful. I would eat off property. The weird - the beds didn’t have fitted sheets it was annoying to have the sheets move around all over the place. Overall I would definitely recommend but the food could be a big turn off to some.
