Both me and my wife had an amazing stay here. Beautiful hotel with amazing views and great staff. Big shoutout to Jack on reception who made our stay all the better. Very professional, friendly and made us feel very welcome. He gave us some maps and great recommendations for places to check out in Kinsale town which we really appreciated. Hope to be back soon!

Disappointing Stay – No Mention of Ongoing Construction We recently stayed at what we expected to be a relaxing break in this 4-star hotel in Kinsale, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. The major issue? Full-scale building work was taking place throughout the property — loud, disruptive, and entirely unmentioned at the time of booking. This wasn’t just minor maintenance; it was significant renovation work that directly impacted the overall atmosphere and quality of our stay. We had specifically chosen this hotel for its gym and pool facilities — which were a building site due to the construction. Again, no prior notice, no apology upon arrival, and most disappointingly, no compensation offered whatsoever. For a hotel with a premium rating and pricing to not even acknowledge the disruption or offer any goodwill gesture is quite unacceptable. The staff were polite, and the rooms were clean, which is why this isn’t a 1-star review — but the lack of transparency and accountability around the building works really overshadowed the rest of the experience. Had we known, we would have stayed elsewhere. If you’re considering a visit soon, I’d recommend calling ahead to ask whether construction is still ongoing.
