When we first arrived at Kipriotis Village, we had several issues with our room and facilities. Jet2 were of no help whatsoever, and I genuinely don’t know what the on-site rep does other than collect a wage from Jet2. Thankfully, the hotel’s own management team stepped in immediately. They resolved every problem, showed us other parts of the resort we hadn’t seen, and truly bent over backwards to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Their effort and professionalism completely turned the holiday around, and we left happy and relaxed. We’ll definitely be returning – but that’s down to the hotel, not Jet2.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, even though the hotel's standards did not quite align with a four-star rating. Upon our late-night arrival, my family and I were met by a receptionist whose demeanor was somewhat less than welcoming, but thankfully, things improved from there. We were transported to our room by car. The room itself showed its age, and the bathroom was even older. We did encounter ants in the bathroom. The room lacked proper cups for coffee or tea, offering only disposable ones. Fresh towels were provided only once during our seven-day stay, and we had to request them. The bed linens were not changed, and the rooms were not cleaned beyond the removal of trash. The pool area was not too bad, though there was a considerable amount of litter, which appeared to be the result of guests not cleaning up after themselves. Securing a sunbed by the pool proved to be quite challenging. However, the food was delightful, with a wide variety of options.

Poorly Maintained Hotel I stayed here for a full week in August. The entire property feels old, tired, and poorly maintained — from the buildings and furniture to the dining halls and facilities. Room Quality The room size was adequate, but it was very basic and dated, with limited storage (mostly hanging space and almost no shelves). The mattress was extremely firm, the pillow very thin, and sleeping was uncomfortable. The TV was tiny, available only in the parents’ room. The balcony had clotheslines installed so low that clothes would drag on the floor. Ants were common, and the balcony had signs of rodent droppings. In the bathroom, there was only hand soap in a dispenser. Towels in the room were replaced rarely during the week, even though with beach and pool use they get dirty quickly. Cleanliness & Maintenance Pools were not very clean, with debris and small stones on the bottom. The surrounding paths and sidewalks were sometimes muddy, and parts of the pathways around the hotel were cracked or uneven. The sports courts were clearly unused for many years — peeling asphalt, no nets, broken mini-golf holes. The beach had many stones, old and unmaintained facilities, and a damaged wooden path to the water, which felt unsafe. Mosquitoes Mosquitoes were a serious problem, both at night near the evening show area and inside the room, despite always keeping doors and windows closed. Facilities & Pools The hotel has several pools, including a large Olympic pool. Even when crowded, the pools themselves didn’t feel overly packed, but finding a sunbed was nearly impossible after 10 a.m., and shaded spots were very limited. The water temperature in August was pleasant. Slides in the pool area operated alternately. Lifeguards were present but rarely intervened with guests. The pools officially close at 18:00, but guests often stayed in long after dark. Dining & Food The main dining hall offered a wide variety of food, so no one would go hungry, but overall quality was average — more quantity than quality. Desserts were disappointing, with a lot of jelly and artificial-tasting creams, though there was a good selection of fresh fruit. Themed restaurants (Greek or Italian) required reservations several days in advance, and the menu there was essentially a reduced version of the main buffet. The dining areas were uncomfortably hot in August, with poor air conditioning, making meals unpleasant. Bars & Drinks Drinks were made with local alcohol; water in the bars came from the tap. Guests received a single bottle of mineral water in the room on arrival, but after that, only tap water was available. Towels & Beach Service Getting pool or beach towels was a constant frustration. They were only available at the reception desk, not by the pool, and often ran out by mid-morning. Staff rarely knew when new towels would arrive. Beach chairs and umbrellas cost €7 per day. Service & Organization Upon arrival, check-in was chaotic. On the day we arrived, 170 rooms were checking in, leading to long waits — first 1.5 hours to be told the room wasn’t ready, then another 30 minutes later. The reception had only 2–3 staff during peak times, despite needing to handle check-in, guest calls, towel distribution, and other services for hundreds of rooms. Phone calls to reception often went unanswered, forcing guests to walk there for any request. Overall, staff often seemed uninterested in making guests feel welcome, doing only the bare minimum. Crowds & Waiting Times In August, queues were everywhere — for drinks, check-in, towels. In some areas there was self-service, but in others, waiting 10 minutes for a drink was normal. The hotel simply did not feel equipped to handle the number of guests it hosted. Entertainment There were daily activities by the pool, and a kids’ dance session each evening at 20:30. Final Impression An old, under-maintained hotel that struggles with cleanliness, organization, and guest service. While the pools and water temperature were enjoyable, the overall experience was far from relaxing.
