Kids room is great and comfortable. Top onsen (hot and sulphuric). Delicious food - King crab all you can eat in end of January— highly recommend. 10 min on foot from hotel very nice waterfall scenery.
It's a unique spot for sure. The sulphur smell in the area and around the onsen takes some getting used to. Parts of the hotel is great and other parts a bit run down, but great value over all. The restaurant and the buffets were amazing and the staff are super nice. Not many westerners and english is not great, but not a problem in practice.
Room is big. The dinner and breakfast are in buffet-style. The taste is not very good. However, the price is cheap if it included the dinner and breakfast. The best in the hotel is the onsen. It is large and in different types. The hotel is full of people. I cannot relax in the hotel.
