It's a resort style hotel sitting right beside the ferry terminal for Nagahama. Rooms are very comfortable, even for singles and the breakfast spread is very nice, especially since I came during low season and paid quite cheap for it. Staff are very polite and eager to help or answer questions. It's 10 mins walk to the nearest JR train station and there are restaurants and a supermarket beside the station.
Amazing staff, service, views, and food. A little older, but the rooms were very clean. Gorgeous property in an awkward location with not much to do except walk outside around the local park or castle and watch the tiny waves crash on Biwako. 10-minute walk from Nagahama station and a grocery store. A little overpriced considering this isn't really a tourist destination and most rooms seemed to be empty (perhaps that's why). The breakfast buffet was pretty damn good.
Hotel Grazie was fantastic, thanks to very helpful and memorable staff. Receptionist called Ryu if I remember correctly and also his women colleague should get promoted for their commitment to their jobs!! Looking forward to go back 😀
