Kitzhorn Suites

We just got back from our third stay at this hotel, and it was fantastic. New local owners and manager, who took over not long after our last visit 3 years ago. They have raised the bar. The experienced waiter staff and chef are outstanding. The evening meals are the highlight of the stay. 4 courses, yet with extra bonus surprises expect 6 servings. The food is exquisite, delicious and presented like a work of art. The slow service concept means you can spend quality time with your family, it can take 2.5, to 3.5 hours, however you will not find a better way to spend you evening in st Johann. Nothing is too much effort, extra food, catered to a sulphite allergy, and on the last night our dinner was shortened to 2 courses as we wanted an early night (prior to 4am alarm). The breakfast was great too, especially the eggs which are individually prepared and served in generous portions. A mini buffet is served at the table, and you can pretty much ask for whatever you want and they will likely have it (for example delicious granola, yogurts, bacon) Other new services included robes for sauna in the room, and possibility to pick up towels to take to the local swimming pool from reception. A nice bag in the room is useful for taking your towels to the pool, we liked it so bought 2 to take home.

We stayed there for one night while doing KAT Walk hike. Extremely helpful staff, dog friendly place with nice rooms. We ware there at the very beginning of the season so not many guests and very quiet.

We’ve stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times with kids and it was always great experience. The location is just perfect, few steps from Max Pub, Main Gondola Station and Ski Schools. You can store your skiing equipment in the warm storage room at the hotel itself. There is parking for at least 8 cars in front of it. The staff is friendly and helpful. This year a young enthusiastic new manager Verena turned this good hotel into a brilliant one. The new chef makes every dinner time a divine experience. Every dish is a peace of art and delicious too. Impressive creativity and such a great talent. We all are very much impressed with the modern approach to the typical Austrian style hotel.
