Very nice little place in the Gion district of Kyoto. Great for 2 but will accommodate 4 as well, so long as you're friendly. Includes a clothes washer with detergent but you will have to hang clothes to dry. Refrigerator, microwave, toaster, hot plate and dishes provided. Air conditioning on both floors which was absolutely necessary when we were here. Traditional tatami and shoji design.
Loved the vintage charm of this place! It was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. Our host was responsive and considerate, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish. Located in the heart of the city, this place was perfect for our holiday. The host provided excellent tips on local eateries and attractions. -Irein- (staying with family)
It felt like we were transported back in time while we were staying at this beautiful machiya. It’s in a great location in Gion close to many shrines, cafes, restaurants and shops. It was also very clean, well equipped and tasteful. Highly recommend staying here.
