Be aware that laundry service will cost about $50. When we asked about laundry, we were told that they could throw in a load with their usual laundry. We, stupidly, didn't ask about cost. At checkout, we found out was $50. Most expensive laundry load I've ever done! Other than the very expensive laundry, we really enjoyed this hotel and the history of the site. The building was once a farm and the peacefulness and the view from the back patios and decks was very nice. They also provide a big free Norweigen breakfast.
Friendly staff who do everything to make you feel good and welcome. However, the hotel is outdated and in need of an update. In the corridors this is clearly visible and in the room it is disguised by the furniture and the bed. There is a TV, but slightly larger than an IPAD, the minibar is completely empty, just like in so many hotels, but you can always buy something to drink at the reception. Rooms are outdated but clean. Restaurant food was fine, however, only a fixed 3-course menu which is served very quickly (there is approximately 3 minutes between dishes, so the food is already prepared). Breakfast fine nothing to complain about. There is no charging station for people who come with an electric car. The garden is very well maintained and looks great. I only share photos to properly reflect the current situation. In short, a great hotel for company events or for people who do not have such high expectations. If you want a nice and romantic weekend away with your partner, I advise you to look further.
Extremely Disappointing Experience - Not Worth Staying! I recently stayed at this hotel and had an incredibly disappointing experience. We booked a family room with a double bed and a single sofa bed, as described and shown in the pictures. After a tiring 7-hour drive, we were given a room with three single beds, which was completely different from what was advertised. Mistakes happen, so we politely went to the reception to address the issue. However, the staff was extremely unhelpful and dismissive, telling us that was all they had and essentially telling us to deal with it. Their attitude was unacceptable and left us feeling frustrated and unwelcome. On top of the poor service, the hotel itself is old and not clean. The level of ignorance from the staff was astonishing. Hotels are all about providing good service, and this place failed miserably. Honestly, this hotel is not even worth staying at for free. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere if you want a pleasant and hassle-free stay.
