We stayed at the campsite for five days in September 2024 – our first camping trip ever – and had a very pleasant start. The pitches were well prepared: gravel, level, and with all the amenities right on site (water, electricity, gray water). The location right on the dike is nice and quiet and ideal for simply unwinding. The restrooms are modern, clean, and regularly maintained. We also found the option to use the older restroom building convenient – especially when it gets busy. The dog park seemed a bit dated, but it was fully fenced and offered seating – perfectly fine for a quick walk with our four-legged friend. The site is quite remote overall, which we deliberately chose. There is a restaurant right on the dike, but other shops are only accessible by car. On the other hand, the bread roll service in the morning was very convenient, and the selection was absolutely sufficient. Unfortunately, there is only limited access to water for dogs, but this is more a general issue in the region than a flaw of the site. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the welcome was warm – a great start to our camping holiday. Summary: A quiet, well-equipped site with everything you need. Ideal for a relaxing camping experience.
