KNAUS Campingpark Hamburg

Very great place was running very late but there was some staff there to help and could also check in yourself but norwegian license plates were a little tricky on the gate in to the campsite will defently come back for later trips

Booked at last minute as it promised easy access to Hamburg. Shocked by the price - over £90 for 2 nights. Electric included. Free WiFi. Clean heated showers. The campsite is just behind Ikea and close to a large motorway - although it is fairly quiet. You can get the bus from Ikea to the train and travel into Hamburg changing lines on the way. It took about half an hour. Buy the tickets in advance - you can’t pay on the bus. Best to get the Hamburg travel app. I was glad to get a space here but not sure id return.

One of the worst sites we have ever been to (except knaus nuremburg) facilites very clean but dated shower heads not moveable and only six showers and toilets for men considering well over hundred pitches. Staff not helpful receptionist told me in no uncertain terms that i definatly could not get a bus ticket unless i did so online or had a hamburg card well thats strange because we got the bus and paid the driver!!! Also we had a bit of rain but little drainage on the site so needed a snorkel lol but worst thing most expensive site ever been on and nothing for it, no cafe or bar so tbh this place not worth 35euros let alone 53 we were charged. Stay away from knaus camping sooo expensive we certainly wouldnt use them again except maybe for the Koblenz site but purely for location lol
