Knights Inn Franklin Middletown

I always give credit where credit is due!! I have been a frequent guest @ this hotel on many occasions when I travel to Middletown and it has definitely upgraded and made numerous necessary changes! Prices have definitely went up but understandable. Rooms were very clean, bed was cozy, staff were excellent, and Fresh Hot Coffee as well as a hot breakfast. Very convenient location as well. The pet fee of $25 a night is a little outrageous and it doesn’t mention through the booking app all, it states are pets welcome!

This hotel is a smoking/ non-smoking hotel, they offer rooms for people that smoke, so yes there is a slight smell in certain areas, but overall it did not bother me. I stayed in a non-smoking room & it did not stink like cigarettes. The room was clean & no signs of bed bugs. I'm rating a 4 star because the location was at a dead end & there was a lot of construction vehicles, some where cleaning cars in an empty lot by the hotel. It was a little confusing getting to the actual hotel parking lot. The staff was friendly & courteous. The breakfast was good & my kids enjoyed being able to make their own waffles. We stayed an entire weekend for a soccer tournament. This hotel was $200 cheaper than any hotel I researched for our stay & if we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay with them again.

The hotel was decent overall — not amazing, but not bad either. You definitely get what you pay for. One downside was a blood stain we found on our sheets (which wasn’t from us), so that was a bit off-putting. On the positive side, the staff were all very kind and helpful, which we really appreciated. We didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. The hotel does have quiet hours, and it was nice and peaceful at night — no loud or obnoxious guests. When we first arrived, there was a strong smell of marijuana. I’m THC-friendly, but it was pretty overwhelming. Still, that’s not necessarily something within the hotel’s control. Overall, I’d stay here again if I needed to — just with managed expectations.
