Koala Tree Motel

We were reluctant to stay here because of the reviews, but we needed a place that was pet friendly. Thankfully, we had a pleasant experience. Yes, there is landscaping that needs to be done, but they’ve had storm after storm for the last few months. The room itself was absolutely fine - including the TV and mini fridge. Everything was clean, and the sheets were immaculate. The bathroom was also spotless. James at reception was friendly and we’ll be staying here again. It’s a pity that people can’t see through a few scattered leaves and appreciate the hard work that goes into managing a motel. It’s also strange that people have complained about their deposits, as it’s common practice for it to take a few days for banks to process refunds.

DO NOT BOOK. We arrived over Easter weekend with our dog to stay in the accommodation we had pre booked and paid for. Not a single person was to be seen, no cars or anyone there. Reception office was locked and no one answered phones or emails. Sat there for 4-5 hours during the afternoon waiting and not a soul to be seen. An absolute SCAM. Now stuck with no accommodation in a town with no availability anywhere. An absolutely shocking experience and I’ve never experienced anything like it. This place needs to be shut down for scamming people.

We booked a stay at this hotel because we were traveling with pets, and it had last-minute availability — now I understand why. :/ The rooms were not clean and clearly in need of maintenance. Basic amenities were either lacking or minimal at best. The customer service was also disappointing. The manager/receptionist was rude and unprofessional. He wrongly accused me of damaging a tiled soap holder in the shower, despite raising this concern soon after check-in when I noticed. He dismissed my feedback and insisted on charging a damage fee to my card without offering a resolution… If you're seeking affordable or last-minute accommodation, I would advise you to look elsewhere. This experience was far from acceptable, and this business should be shut down.
