Koh Russey Resort

We had a great stay at Koh Russey for 3 nights. After touring the temples at Siem Reap, this relaxing beach stay was a great way to round out our holiday. The staff were so friendly and eager to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Local food was better than western options, but this was a minor issue for us. We stayed in a beachfront pool villa which was beautiful. The hotel was quiet and relaxing, and we took advantage of several of the activities which we really enjoyed. A great stay

The setting is absolutely stunning - an unspoiled island with lush greenery, a peaceful beach that feels almost private, and architecture that blends beautifully with nature. What truly sets this place apart is the personal touch. The staff go above and beyond with a warmth that never feels forced. Everything is done with such attention and kindness. The manager is exceptional - present, approachable, and sincerely invested in making each guest's experience unique and memorable. The food was consistently outstanding. Every dish was fresh, refined, and full of flavor - from breakfast by the sea to romantic dinners under the stars. A true culinary delight. And then there's the spa - a tranquil haven where we were pampered into total relaxation. The treatments were professional, soothing, and set in a peaceful atmosphere that matched the resort's overall sense of serenity. A simple review - western food at the hotel should not ordered. (grilled corn with no butter🤣) - Khmer food is acceptable ( whole chicken roasted) - rooms is nice but getting a little dated - you can hear kids running around due to insufficient sound insulation - beach could use a clean up as there’s a lot of trash and tree debris - booking through booking.com and I wasn’t aware about the 60$ transfer fee to the island. A little shock about the pricing - room price was acceptable - staff is always friendly cause we are in one of the friendliest country in the world so no point given there - no smart tv in 2025? - hotel ground is filled with half dead half alive nature. ——- Summary, if you are coming with 30 of your family/friend to have a great time by the beach with a BBQ. You would enjoy it. The corkage fee is a little weird but acceptable to certain price. However, you are planing to come for a relaxing 2 people get away. I won’t recommend it. There’s not much to do, the beach is dirty and the food is not that great. The spa is also mediocre but everything was charge to a very premium price. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
