Koko Hotel Kyoto Sanjo

We stayed here in April 2025 and absolutely loved my experience. The service was excellent, and the staff were truly attentive and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of variety, and there was a spacious lounge area to enjoy coffee in the afternoon or evening. The room was one of the largest I stayed in during my entire trip to Japan, and the bathroom was huge compared to other hotels or facilities in the country. I particularly liked the location: very close to the subway station, making it easy to get around the entire Kyoto area — which is quite large. And if you enjoy walking and exploring the streets and hidden corners of the city, it’s perfect. There was only one detail I didn’t love, though it’s something you can adapt to: you have to set a specific time for breakfast. This isn’t necessarily bad, but sometimes you might change your mind in the morning, and you already have a set time. That said, this is not unique to this hotel — it also happened to us in other hotels in Japan. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. I really enjoyed the hotel, the service, and the rooms, and I think it’s an excellent choice for getting to know and exploring the city.

This was a great hotel overall. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and rooms are bigger than typical Japanese hotels. The breakfast is surprisingly really good and well worth it. Free drinks from 12pm-8pm which was great when checking in. Microwaves in common area as well. Walkable to Gion, Nishiki market and metro. There are several local restaurants to eat and convenience stores close by. Quiet residential area with nice big Buddhists temple close by. Highly recommended!!!

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Wing Int. The rooms were a great size and comfortable with all amenities we needed. Our bed was on the firm side. It was quiet and clean. The front desk was very helpful and very accommodating to our luggage needs before and after checkout. They also offered umbrellas to borrow on rainy days and the cafe area downstairs had a good selection of food and drinks, including coffee. The location was perfect for subway and bus travel as well. Would recommend and stay here again!
