This is my fourth time at this property. It’s on of my favorite! It’s so unique! Beautifully designed. True bliss in the jungle! A perfect getaway! Beach area, pool and great food. The bed is super comfortable! I always indulge in a massage and the treatments are amazing. Highly recommend.
Everything at this place was so amazing. They only just opened and I don’t know how much longer this is going to be a hidden gem. Every part of the stay is so amazing! Kokoro Mío is a mixture of luxury hotel and like being with family. The owners, created this place and are regularly involved. We saw them so much! We loved the dogs! We had heard they sometimes meet the guests and so we asked and were met with 4 of the cutest happiest dogs who ended up being an amazing part of our stay! The food is so personal! We had asked about having mole and we actually got to have mole enchiladas with the recipe from the abuela of the owner. If you want a stay that feels luxurious while also being local, filled with culture and personality than this is the place
Really lovely jungle location. Rooms are really fantastic and the staff are lovely. Couple things to note for potential guests: 1. The hotel is far from the lagoon - they have a beach club but you need to walk 20 mins or cycle 10 mins to get there. There is an overly friendly panting duck there called Milton who might freak you out at first but rest assured that he is a friend. 2. The food at the restaurant is tasty but isn't good value. We were also disappointed that it wasn't Mexican at all. They made us chicken breasts with cheese, chicken breast with mushrooms, braised brisket with mustard, pork chop, that kind of thing. I'd suggest heading to Bacalar for dinner if you want something more local. 3. WiFi isn't good - it didn't work at all in our room and it wasn't fast even in the bar / restaurant. Don't come here if you'll need to do some work calls. Overall, it's a beautiful place to get away and relax but there are a couple of things you should be aware of before you arrive.
