Kolbe Hotel Rome

We loved our stay at Hotel Kolbe. We had a family room and it was so spacious and comfortable. The location of the hotel is wonderful. We enjoyed walking out our door to see Ancient Rome right in front of us. We also enjoyed the breakfast: large selection and the food was delicious. Finally, we cannot say enough good things about the staff. They were so friendly and kind, and extremely helpful.

Omar at the front desk was FANTASTIC and especially helpful in navigating ground transportation for our fast and furious stay. While the hallway was pleasant, the AC in our room did not cool as much as we would have liked. We had to call the desk to request the default setting go below 20. There are not adequate surfaces in the bathroom to rest the tray with complimentary soaps or larger toiletry items. Love the availability of lemon/orange infused cold water in the lobby. The dining room and gardens are gorgeous! The hotel location is PERFECT for touring the Colosseum and Forum and we love the history of Father Kolbe. Appreciate the head custodian taking time to show us the museum and terrace on a hot day. She was very gracious. Thanks for a 5 star stay!

Our stay at the Kolbe Hotel in Rome was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled beside the Palatine Hill and just a short walk from the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, this hotel offers a unique combination of modern comfort and historical charm that is hard to match. The rooms were beautifully appointed—immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, and surprisingly quiet considering the central location. We had a room overlooking the peaceful inner garden, which made for a serene retreat after a day of exploring the city. The staff were professional, friendly, and eager to assist with recommendations and directions. Their hospitality made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast, served in a bright room with garden views. The variety and quality were excellent—fresh pastries, savory options, and great coffee. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner at the hotel's restaurant, Unique Al Palatine (Garden Restaurant), which combines creative Italian cuisine with attentive service. The Kolbe Hotel strikes the perfect balance: it’s steeped in the history of Rome yet offers the comfort and elegance of a modern boutique hotel. It was the perfect home base for our Roman holiday, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended for travelers seeking charm, convenience, and a touch of luxury in the Eternal City.
