Kolding Hotel Apartments

Wonderful location next to the Castle Lake (many swans and ducks paddling about) with the restored castle looming just a short walk away. A very relaxed atmosphere, with a spacious apartment and basic kitchen facilities. The TVs support Chromecast, which was a nice bonus. Also, apparently right next to Kolding's best ice cream shop, which deserves the plaudits. Really like the almost communal nature of the place, particularly the formalized loan desk where you can borrow all sorts of things -- kitchen appliances, board games, and so on -- to make the stay more pleasant.

The hotel has a perfect location near a nice lake and it's also near the city center. The rooms have a very nice design and are spacious. It was very clean and we had a comfortable stay.

We booked an apartment that sleeps six. Based on photos, we were expecting two bedrooms, one that had two sets of bunk beds. We were pleasantly surprised to have three bedrooms, one with a bunk bed and another with two singles with a third that had a double (twin split). The apartment was spacious with all amenities included (dishes, cups, and silverware for up to 8 as well as pots, pans, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker). Removing one star because the apartment we had was very noisy; we expected to hear noise since we booked a room street-side but weren’t anticipating the construction directly across our apartment that made it difficult to keep the windows open to cool off the apartment with hammering and nailing happening much of the day. In fairness, the apartment did provide several pairs of ear plugs as an amenity.
