Hidden Gem Honestly the best accomodation we’ve found across the world! I could continued to list of pros forever You will not be disappointed! A fantastic location in the Gion district with incredible restaurants, Izakaya, convenience store (the list continues) basically on your doorstep. I highly recommend Torisei simply 4 minutes walk from the accommodation An easy 10-15 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of the main shopping and eating area of Kyoto Train lines, bike rental spots are very close also. Takase, the facilitator is also a fantastic man who is willing to help with whatever you need. A reminder to respect the people of Kyoto and to keep the city clean!

A beautifully presented property and within easy walking distance to all amenities. Host and concierge service were very hospitable and helpful. It felt very 'zen' - particularly the amazing bathroom - we would have no hesitation in recommending Komatsu South!

Modern machiya, located about 10 mins walk from Hanamikoji Street (famous street for Geisha spotting). The team is super attentive, with *AMAZING* concierge service - they're so helpful in helping us make restaurant reservations and recommendations, booking taxi, helping us with our luggages. One of the team members is a Singaporean, which makes communication in English easy. There are two floors in the house. Given that it's a machiya, it's expected for noise to travel given that walls are thin. There's 2-in-1 washing machine & dryer available in our unit (second floor) which is useful in winter. We had a great stay!
