Kominkayado LOOF Kyonoie

We stayed here for a three-generation summer vacation. This traditional Japanese house is located in a village in the valley where the Shiokawa River flows, nestled in the heart of Japan's pristine landscape. The road to the inn is easy to follow if you follow the small sign marked "ru," but it's narrow, so care is required. The parking lot is spacious and easy to park in. Hisi Shrine, believed to be the local guardian deity, is located nearby, giving the inn a historic feel. This renovated traditional Japanese house retains its charm while incorporating the latest amenities, including plumbing. The spacious interior is relaxing. The female staff member, Ms. H, welcomed us with warm, family-like hospitality, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. The hearth-style kaiseki cuisine features a wide variety of dishes, and the high quality of each ingredient and the grilling technique ensure that the food is presented in the best possible condition. Everything was delicious, but I personally recommend the Shingen chicken, with its crispy skin grilled over a strong flame. The open-air cypress bath is available any time. My grandchildren were so satisfied that they said they wanted to come here again next year.

I checked in at this lovely old house, and couldn't help but say, "Thank you for stopping by." But I soon found myself muttering, "I don't want to go home..." Outside, the sound of pheasants could be heard. Swallows were on the eaves... and the mountains spread out before me... In the center of the room was a hearth. Meals were served in a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of delicious ingredients. The freshly cooked rice in a clay pot was also great and well thought out! My stomach was very satisfied. And there were fireflies in the nearby river. I was moved to be able to see fireflies for the first time in my life. What's more, it was a miracle that they landed on the palm of my hand and lit up. It was the first time in decades that I had seen fireworks with my family. Thank you for letting me spend such a wonderful time with you! The fireworks were very beautiful. In the bath, there was a cute wooden deer. I relaxed and healed both my body and mind while listening to the chorus of frogs. Above all, our family of four were soothed both physically and mentally by the warm personalities and careful attentions of the staff who welcomed us. We are filled with gratitude to the two staff members and hope to meet them again. This time, we traveled with my elderly parents. This inn was the perfect choice for spending some precious time together. It's impossible to write everything here about this encounter with an inn that overflows with memories. If we were to stay again, this was a wonderful inn that would make us want to check in and say "I'm home!"
