This place was truely magical, the place was very well maintained and clean, very welcoming home, everything was on point From my experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Byron bay and wanting to have a relaxing and beautiful place to stay.

Our sincerest thank you for creating a place that is just perfect! It truely was the best posible location for our family holiday and wedding. We booked the whole house, Edge and Lotus villas and it was the perfect setup for our group of 10 adults and 4 children all to have a great time together in the shared spaces but still be able to escape for privacy in their own space. The photos do not do the location justice. Every room is beautifully designed, bathrooms amazing, breakfast well stocked and the infinity pool and spas...bliss. The service from everyone of the ladies there was excellent. We had correspondence for months before my big day and no matter who picked it up, they responded quickly and made sure everything was setup for me. No questions were left unanswered and no request was a hassle for them! Another thing i loved was once they made sure we were set, they stayed out of our way but were always available if we needed them. We had the BEST meal for our wedding day. Their chef is truely Michelin quality. I got a bit excited ordering 2 soups, 2 entrees, a main and desert for everyone but everyone got (very full and ) to try every amazing dish. It was also amazing how effecicant with their serving and cleaning in between! The chef and the server made 2 ppl seem like 10! Our photographer Olivia Texter had been to koonyum before so was able to direct us with those little details we didnt even think about like where is the best place to get ready, have the ceremony and sneak off for couple photos. The overwhelming choice of musicans in byron means you cant really go wrong but we chose Margaret Curtis who is a very professional and superb harpist and pianist. Both these Ladies were fantastic going above and beyond and all the while adding to the lovely experience of being in such a magical place. Thank you again and I highly recommend koonyum for a elopement, wedding or any type of getaway. We will definately be making it an aniversary ritual as I already miss the place!

here’s the list off what was broken or unclean... not good enough for the price of the stay. Glasses, dirty pool unhygienic to swim in, uncomfortable beds, house was not clean properly, speakers not working properly, general rubbish, power cuts due to incorrect electricity connections (illegal), unwelcome dogs, the clothes dryer filter filthy, broken glass by the pool, shower handles broken, not the whole house with aircon as in description, both aircon zones not possible at once, broken glass bottom of pool, a diiirty oven, broken dishwasher poorly fixed prior to our stay, the drinking water filter was dirty to begin the stay.
