What a magical place! You are staying in a luxury inn inside of Nara park. Kasugataisha is a quick walk away, and you wander through roving deer to find the gate. Everyone on the staff was exceedingly kind and took great care of us, despite our minimal knowledge of Japanese. We took part in the tea ceremony and our host took great care of us. We stayed on Valentine's day, which is also the anniversary of Nara park. We were surprised halfway through dinner with an amazing fireworks show being set off from Wakakusa across the street! The food was amazing and we stayed in a room with an outdoor bath tub. Everything about the atmosphere was so incredible, it's a memory I'll always treasure. My one recommendation is to take a taxi from Nara station if you are bringing luggage, the bus does not stop very near to the inn and you'll need to walk uphill.
Stayed here in early May 2025 and had an unforgettable time. All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Everything was great!
We had an incredible time! The staff are very friendly, welcoming, hospitable, and made adaptions to our needs at short notice. We are so grateful for their beautiful display of culture and food, we were well taken care-of! I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet getaway in the midst of your touring of Japan!
