Can’t say enough good things about this beautiful home. The hosts were lovely and met us when we arrived to show us around the house. So many nice touches with flowers and treats to enjoy. The garden with koi garden was so relaxing. The home has been beautifully restored with many sitting areas. A highlight is the henoki onsen tub. Within a short walk is an amazing 7th century tumulus that is octagonal complete with video in English explaining the site projected on interior of one of the crypts. What a treasure of a house.

If you want a unique Edo period experience, this is the place to book. The owner and his wife are amazing people and absolutely wonderful. The home is very beautiful and well maintained, there are chickens you can get eggs from for breakfast, and plenty of space to spread out in. It's in a quiet neighborhood just far enough away to get some privacy, but you will want to grab groceries before you go up. The street it is on does have a very SHARP curve so some taxis won't go down it. They supply a list of local shops and restaurants in their books so you can preplan your next day. 10/10 don't skip out on this place if u are looking to book something unique after being in the urban area for so long.

Beautiful house to chill in. Rebuilt ten years ago with painstaking details, Ogawa San lets us share the joy of living here. Perched on a small uphill area. Perfect for couple or a quartet. A bit daunting for small children as many details need extra care. Bedroom is in attic, up a few steep stairs, enhanced with a TV section. Spacious kitchen and Japanese style bath. Coi pond garden and large backyard to relax in. The whole set up is serene, peaceful, requiring one to take time and explore.
