Kruger Shalati Train on The Bridge & Garden Suites

My daughter and I spent 3 nights here in May. The staff was exceptional. The room clean and comfortable. Food was very good. What really made it for us was our guide, Lawrence. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. What a great guide who went out of his way to insure we enjoyed our time there. You will be fortunate to have him as your guide.

Wow what an amazing experience me and my husband had. We booked the Shalati for our honeymoon. When we first got there we were blown away by the customer service that we got. The moment that we got there everyone knew our names, so many nice and kind people. The food was always presented perfectly and tasted amazing. Glenda and Gratitude were our waitresses. They were always so kind, always happy to see us, always had great recommending, and always remembered our usual drink order. They had great options for food and drinks. I loved how the menu was new every day (we stayed for 5 days) they were also very accommodating to any allergies. The pool bar was fast and the ice coffees were so good before a game driver. Every Wednesday and Sunday nights they bring in a choir and set up a beautiful buffet in the outdoor space they built, it was wonderful. Our game driver was Sipho. He was absolutely amazing. He had so much knowledge about the animals. He asked us every drive what we wanted to see and he made sure we got to see it! He knew where all the animals were hanging around and made sure we got the best photo! In the morning he provided blankets and a hot water pack to keep us warm ( it was really cold) in the afternoons we would stop for a drink and snacks. The safari vehicle was very nice and comfortable. Booking with a lodge you get to go out a hour before and stay a hour later than self drive and that’s when we got to see a lot of the rare animals that don’t like all the vehicle traffic. Our room was beautiful. When we got to our room the view was amazing #25 on the bridge. We were looking at more of the bush then the water, but the day we got there elephants were everywhere by our room! So no action missed! When we would come back from a meal it was re cleaned, bed made, new towels, mini bar stocked and even had fresh glasses and water bottles beside our bed. It was luxury. The service, once again was amazing (I think that’s what made our experience the best because of all the wonderful amazing staff they had) shout out to everyone there! Benedict always made sure we were having a great time, and if he could help in anyway, Lucky/KG also helped us book golf. I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone. I hope we can come back to experience this true magical place.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly and attentive staff, making us feel at home in the heart of the wilderness. The game drives were an absolute highlight, thanks to our outstanding guide, Alvis, whose deep knowledge and sharp eye ensured we had some of the most spectacular wildlife encounters imaginable. Every drive was filled with unforgettable moments, making each outing a true adventure. The design of the lodge is stunning, seamlessly blending luxury with nature. Whether relaxing in the beautifully designed rooms or unwinding in the common areas, everything felt thoughtfully curated and inviting. The culinary experience was just as impressive. The food was consistently excellent, and the beverage selection was well above expectations, particularly the outstanding wine choices—far beyond what one would typically expect from an all-inclusive offering. A special mention goes to the pool area, which provided breathtaking views of hippos, elephants, and even crocodiles—a magical setting that made every moment feel surreal. In summary, our stay exceeded all expectations. The value for money was outstanding, and saying goodbye was truly difficult.
