My husband and I have stayed at the hotel Kristal Maria Barbara 4 times, we just came back from a 10 night stay at the hotel from March 28Th to April 7Th and enjoyed our stay as we have had in our past 3 visits. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast buffet has an abundant variety of Mexican dishes to enjoy, everything is fresh and prepared on site that morning. The staff goes above and beyond to be friendly and do their jobs the best way possible. This trip we had the pleasure of to meet Daniel Ceballos Guemez . We had the chance to have several conversations with him and he was extremely friendly and respectful. He gave us great suggestions for our future trips in Mexico City. He always made us feel welcome every time he saw us in the lobby. We also accessed the taxi service the hotel offers, we had the opportunity to meet Juan Ramírez, he drove us to the Teotihuacán pyramids and gave us a great tour. We hired him several more times for other trips and his service was great!!!

Pros Enjoyed my stay Nice hotel,  lots of greenery which i like Nice interior Staff were very helpful and kind Like the layout of the exterior chairs and umbrellas Cons Wish the breakfast buffet had canadian style breakfast sausages or bacon And wish it was easier to access coffee so i didnt have to bother the staff each time Pool water seemed a bit dark after it rained as though missing chlorine or something

We stayed for 5 nights in May 2025 and were very disappointed. The pool was very dirty with cloudy water and the “hot tub” never worked at all. It was completely empty for the first three days of our stay and then they filled it half full of cold water, and didn’t turn the heat on at all. The air conditioning unit in our room broke on the second night, and we were eventually moved to another room with no coffee maker or mini fridge. Apparently those items are “on request only”, but there are not enough for each room. The breakfast was pretty dismal. It was exactly the same every day (terrible “coffee”, hard, bland sweet bread, dried-out potato wedges and scrambled eggs) and they were always out of basic dishes and utensils like plates, coffee mugs and spoons. No one seemed to care, with the exception of the housekeeping staff who were thorough and did a good job. We would avoid this hotel in the future.
