Such a fun place for young kids and parents. Not much for teenage kids, but is perfect for any age younger. The food staff and cleaning staff were always so friendly, even with our big enthusiastic dog. The food is quite meat-based, but they do have really good quality meats and vareity of sides for adults, while also catering for kids with pizza, pasta, fries etc. The meal voucher for a restaurant up the mountain (Seppi's) was also super good, even if no drink is included. The hotel is a 10min bus trip to the ski lifts, but the buses came so often it wasn't really an issue. The entertainment was awesome, with a cinema, band, magician and clown coming on different nights. Actually the magician who came was amazing. The bowling costs per 15mins, and was the only let down for me as it didn't really work properly, even though our 7yo loved it. He also loved the big waterslides, which were surprisingly good. Overall, I was surprised that the hotel found such a nice mix between fun for (young) kids and nice quality for the parents. Would love to return next ski season.

I don’t usually review till I leave but impressions so far are so good I have to share. Every single service person is friendly smiling and VERY relaxed. I think they find my city panicking about being 5 minutes late amusing but take the trouble to answer everything efficiently and fully. From the moment we entered kids were treated as special guests and they loved receiving their own water bottle. Food is excellent quality and I love that guests going hiking have the foil and sandwich preparations available at breakfast to pack for a day out. The hotel is very twisty so kids keep discovering new things up stairs and around corners and the best bit is we don’t have to worry at all as they never want to leave and it is so safe. I’m already losing frown lines from being relaxed - I’d give hundreds of stars if I could. One final thing- spa is lovely and well priced too. Booked my mother in for a facial as it was her birthday the day we arrived and she had a wonderful time. Said it’s the best she’s ever had

There are many very good and unique aspects of Kinderhotel Kroller. It’s absolutely a family-focused hotel, catering so well to the little ones with hidden surprises, while at the same time maintaining a cozy-upscale feel for adults. It’s hard to understand the property, so I uploaded many photos. Facilities: There is a 2-story soft play area plus air hockey, ping pong, and video games. There’s a washer/dryer room - super handy. In the bar area, there are 6-8 table top and seated digital game boards that really are fun to play in addition to a cinema and bowling. There are sleds to borrow and small ski hill next door. Etc, etc. Food: The food is not only excellent, there’s something available all day - including heavy snacks and a salad bar from 2-6pm. One evening alone included filet, pork knuckle, and scallops - when you think buffet, it’s never as good as this was, unexpectedly good. Entertainment: There are 2 movies/day in addition to 2 entertainers/wk around 7:30pm, and one evening they had a cool laser show. New Year Eve really was a party with the whole hotel decked out. Value: We paid €722/night over the holiday season, and the lowest all year seems to be around €500/night, so it’s only fair to judge based on this… and not everything lives up to the price. The sauna area and relaxing room were much bigger and nicer than we expected. It can be challenging to get a spa appointment in the afternoon, but the massages we had were excellent. Apparently some guests book one everyday, so I recommend doing so in advance. Rooms: We stayed in an apartment in the older building, with a great 2 bedroom layout. But the pillows were incredibly flat (tried 6), the TV was tiny and hung oddly high on the wall, the towels were small and very thin, and the toilet holder was an industrial plastic seemingly from the 1970s. None of these were deal-breakers, but together they were odd for such a nice and thoughtful hotel, and seemingly “easily” improved. Staff: The staff in general were super, cleaning was excellent, bar tenders nice, and table service very attentive and friendly. But I would describe most of the front desk as mildly cold. They didn’t take much initiative to explain things to us (first time visitors). No “how’s your stay going” or “if you go sledding remember to go up the hill you need to rent a special sled”, or “did you enjoy your time here” when checking out - they were fine, but a little transactional. To be honest, it left me with the feeling we didn’t really belong to their members club (being the only English speakers that week), and they wouldn’t mind if we didn’t return since they’re so in demand. On the upside, they let our friends use the pool and join us for lunch our last day, which was nice of them - so who knows, maybe it’s just a cultural difference. Altogether, I would absolutely recommend Kinderhotel Kroller for families, especially in the winter if you ski. We found many families came year-after-year, some for 5+yrs. Yes there are a few things to improve, but in general, we really enjoyed our stay and will consider returning.
