We had a wonderful stay at KTDC Waterscapes Resort last week. Though it was a last-minute trip, we were lucky to get a Garden Pool Villa, which turned out to be a lovely choice. The rooms were clean, spacious and well-maintained, and the staff ensured our comfort by providing an extra bed upon request. The hospitality was commendable – we were welcomed with a refreshing drink on arrival .. One of the highlights was enjoying the evening coffee and baji while watching the serene river with houseboats gently passing by – a truly relaxing experience. The property also has swings, cycles, boats and a swimming pool, which added fun and activity to our stay. Though the dinner buffet was paid, it was well worth it with a good spread and delicious options. The morning ambiance was refreshing, and we took a walk to the nearby bird sanctuary, which is about 3 km away. Halfway through, there’s a boat service available for Rs. 800 if you prefer not to walk. The bird-watching tower inside the sanctuary offers a nice view, though those who don’t enjoy long walks may find the trek a bit tiring. As a group, we enjoyed every bit of it. The breakfast buffet was complimentary and had a satisfying variety to choose from. Overall, it was a peaceful and pleasant stay with good service and a beautifully maintained property. Highly recommended for nature lovers and families looking for a relaxing getaway.

Stayed in the Superior Lake View cottages for 5 days with family. It was a great stay, location is perfect as well. The food in restaurant was tasty. The staff took care of us well., especially Devaraj who went above and beyond to accomodate us. Highly recommended.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a lovely spot within the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, and I can honestly say it was a fantastic experience for any bird lover. Waking up early to the sounds of chirping birds was magical; it truly sets the tone for your day. If you enjoy nature, this place will absolutely delight you. The accommodations themselves were quite comfortable and well-equipped. I appreciated that it felt both cozy and spacious. The swimming pool was another highlight—big and clean, it offered a beautiful view of the lake, perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring. While the restaurant provided a decent breakfast to start the day, I found the options for lunch and dinner a little limited. Still, it was satisfactory for a budget-friendly location. What impressed me the most was the staff. Despite it being a government-managed property, they were incredibly helpful and friendly, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for budget accommodation in Kumarakom. Whether you're an avid bird watcher or just seeking a peaceful getaway, this spot is definitely worth considering!
