It was fine, nothing special. They accept pets, which is wonderful, but then you will get placed in an older, worn out building behind the main building because of that. Very old carpets, harsh fluorescent lighting, dated furniture. I also had asked for a Mountain View with balcony, but got the 1st floor in this older building that looked out onto construction and the street. They said there were no more rooms available, even though I had arrived only a few hours after check in, so keep that in mind. And if you want to speak to anyone else about it, they give you a phone number to call instead of trying to handle it with the front desk staff. The bed was hard enough I had to put an extra cushion below me to sleep comfortably. The only breakfast the offer is buffet, and €14, so only eat there if you’re super hungry. It was good the days I did eat there, and had lots of food options. There are no coffee options or dish soap in the room. Also, parking can get full on busy weekends, and they are rough cobblestones, so I’d recommend parking as close as you can to your building before bringing your bags in. It’s not easy to drag luggage up that walkway in the “B” building, so I don’t recommend if you’re less able bodied. The gift shop is nice, and they have a local hiking map. I think lots of families stay here because there was a playground outside. Worth it only if you don’t care about any comforts and just want a quick place up to the lifts and hiking trails in that area. If you have a car, consider staying somewhere more comfortable and just drive to the car parks at trailheads instead.
