Overall a very good hotel in Harz for its category. Perfect base for hikes in Ilsetal. Good and professional hospitality with clear communication beforehand, attention to the guests and almost personal feeling (we were remembered from the first night). Breakfast is modest unless one wants to go extra mile of ordering an egg dish from the kitchen. Rooms are nice, though furnishing feels a bit old, it matches the atmosphere. Would have been super cool to have a terrace or balcony to soak the freshest air of Harz. Nature is amazing. Restaurant was good.
