Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel

Really the best place to stay and eat in Solo! Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, oozing with atmosphere, being part of a royal residence. The attached restaurant is beautiful with delicious food and the service far better than at the overpriced resto of Pura Mangkunegaran.

Considering its budget-friendly price point, I found the experience to be significantly better than what one might expect from a two- or three-star hotel. I can envision that, In the days that have passed., this hotel was a truly beautiful and luxurious hotel, boasting a magical interior and exterior. The main lobby area particularly stood out, as it is exquisitely adorned with traditional Javanese elements. While room cleanliness could be enhanced to further elevate the appeal of this charming hotel, our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the convenient walking distance to Pasar Gede, the Keraton/Palace, and numerous cafes, coffee shops, and eateries was a definite plus.

Stayed at Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel for 5 days and had a mixed yet okay experience. The service was very hospitable, with staff being friendly and attentive. The hotel facilities are adequate, covering all the essentials. The vibes are fantastic, with a charming, traditional ambiance that adds to the experience. However, the rooms could be better—they had a strong old/humid smell (the smell you get when you know a room has not been occupied for a long time), and unfortunately, I found a cockroach in my room. A bit more maintenance and cleanliness would improve the stay significantly.
