The room had a non-functional outlet and a slight smoke smell, but the staff promptly addressed the issue and offered to move me, ensuring a positive experience. Quality maid service, quiet property. The rooftop bartender was excellent, and both the customer service team and concierge were very helpful. Breakfast also was great. Parking was convenient, and overall, I would definitely stay at this property again in the future.
Wonderful, boutique style hotel with very friendly and helpful staff (thank you Adriana, Adrian and Damian) - these guys will make you feel like home during your stay! Calming and relaxed vibe to that place, quite spectacular view at the sunset from the roof restaurant (with nice swimming pool), good menu at the restaurant too 👍 The rooms are super clean and with an excellent standard (4 ⭐ plus) - I do a lot of travelling for business across Europe and Kuyen Kasa is up there with any higher profile 4 ⭐ hotel in a Central and Western Europe. The location is quiet and very convenient - with a 7-11 local grocery shop open 24hr and a range of restaurants within walking distance: Xibak, Los Morros for a sea food (that is, if you can find them! Aldea Zama is full of ongoing new builds - and streets can be a bit of labyrinth, you might like to use taxi, should you be afraid of getting lost). Down town area is 30 mins walk or 10 min by taxi (250-300 MXN one way). The hotel also offers a range of activities and it seem to co-operate with Maya1 Travel - the trip to Chichen Itza was fabulous (make sure you ask for a guide Jesus, great character in his 50s). If Kasa Kuyen can broaden they breakfast menu and change the music the roof top restaurant plays in the late afternoon and early evening - this place would be a perfect choice for an adult traveller looking for a quiet and quality stay in Tulum. I can recommend it. Gracias, Kuyen Kasa hotel 😉😊👍!!!
Please don't waste your money here! There are hundreds of better boutique hotels with much better management and loyal service than this place! I have been a customer of theirs for 5 years and the service has decreased substantially! Here are reasons to look elsewhere: 1. Management doesn't care about retaining customers! I have been a loyal customer of Kasa Kuyen for over 5 years now, coming to stay atleast twice a year with friends and family even while they were a part of Kasa Parota prior to coming over to Aldea side. I will no longer be staying at this location when I come to visit Tulum! They used to have the best customer service in Omar and Julio, both are now gone. This time I have had enough! They initially had me booked in the wrong room and then charged me for a breakfast that was supposed to be included but wasn't. I was told a Jennifer is now the manager who made this decision. They will continue to lose customers sheerly because of management and their inability to keep good loyal customers, the front desk staff are all new and although friendly they are not familiar with the area or give authentic recommendations based on their experiences. I have seen new staff there atleast every six months who are all new, unfamiliar with the property and in turn causes customer wait times, and delays and issues in check in and check out. 2. The rooms are too close to each other, no privacy! The concept of paying more money for a room with a plunge pool is a waste. While you are trying to enjoy your plunge pool, so is the person across from you. You can see them very closely and they can see you from their room as well. It's not discrete or private. The rooms are so close together - you can hear and see what is happening right next door or across from you! 3. Rooftop bar not worth it! There are better rooftops! Be prepared to go up atleast 5 flights of stairs to get to the Rooftop. If you order food, be prepared to have that food come from a kitchen on the ground floor and walked up 5 flights of stairs. ***In summary, as Tulum is building more and more, find you a better hotel with more PERSONALIZED service that comes from a management team that cares about retaining customers and actually cares about personalized service! The service here unfortunately has gone down, and yesterday after leaving - that was the last of my stay!
