Definitely a hidden gem. Worth every penny. Relaxing mini vacation. Great for families. My understanding is that you can even come spend the day by the pool. Definitely a peaceful place and worth venturing to.
We stayed at this hotel from July 4th to 6th, 2025. The location is excellent with easy parking, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The lady at reception during check-in was quite unfriendly, but the rest of the staff were very warm and helpful. The spa was decent, and the massages were excellent. Cocktails at the bar were also very good. That said, there were several downsides. There were a lot of ants — in the room, around the pool, and even near the bar area. The swimming pool was small but sufficient, and while bar service was great, outside guests could just walk in to use the pool, which doesn’t feel right for a five-star hotel. Communication was also difficult, as none of the staff spoke anything other than Greek. Finally, breakfast was very basic and really did not meet five-star expectations. In short, some great touches, but quite a few details fell short of what you'd expect at this level.
Poor room maintenance caused an incident during our first day of stay that could have easily resulted in a lawsuit. Although the frontline staff took all available measures to assist, the total absence of hotel management—and the lack of a sincere apology—was inexcusable for an establishment claiming a 5-star rating. Health and safety should be an absolute priority for every hotel, and needless to say, the 5-star rating this hotel holds should reflect far higher standards than what we experienced. The situation exposed not just operational gaps, but also a clear lack of experience in proper customer experience from the hotel management team.
